Importance of Storytelling

Life moves at an unpredictable pace. This became especially apparent as the COVID-19 pandemic shortened the lives of many people across the world. Now is an especially valuable time to start collecting the stories of your loved ones. It’s important that memories are documented while the storytellers have access to all of the enriching details that truly define a story: where, who was involved, and how it shaped major life decisions.

The simplest lessons impact our stories in big ways, which is why we pass family history from generation to generation in everyday settings, anywhere from the kitchen table to rocking chairs on the porch.

Although these stories may continue to live through certain listeners, some stories are lost and details erased as life progresses. With Narrate, memories morph under tailored lines of questioning and astute lenses that expose every facet, creating a holistic portrait of lived experiences beyond hitting the record button.
